The worms aren't moving up to the middle tray.  Cry   It's broken down enough - the stuff in the bottom is fantastic compost so there is no food left for them there.  It doesn't seem to be too dry or moist and it's driving me mad!!!  I've now filled the top tray so can't fit any more in it.

On the plus side the liquid at the bottom (which I only realised was there last night) is fantastic and am watering it down now to use on veggies - bit smelly though.

There definitely seems to have been a depletion in the worms - don't know if this was the ants that were resident or if they have fallen into the liquid and drowned themselves - I know what I feel like doing though  Angry

I have read that worms are hard to start off with and it can take 12 months to get them established - so dont despair!
