Continuing off thread for a moment.  Cleaning cupboards have come to standstill.

Went into town this morning, for a bit of Christmas Shopping. Talk about someone watching over you.  With heavy shopping in hand I was walking back to the car, thinking I could do with a sit down and a nice cup of tea.

The sun was glaring in my face as I walked down Briggate, when I saw a figure come towards me. It was a market reseach Lady. I found myself saying 'yes' to everything she said, and found myself following her down a dark alley  Shocked  Shocked into one of the oldest pubs in Leeds.  We then proceeded upstairs into an empty room!! (If this had been a bloke - sorry fellas, I might have thought twice)

She then said, would I like a cup of tea.  Well, there I was having a nice cup of tea and a sit down in front of a lap top giving my opinion of soap powder and other related products. After 15 mins I was on my merry way.

Someone must have heard my prayer, and I got my request.

The downside is that I took me into the next hour of parking.  Angry

Cupboard cleaning may continue later.

Hi everyone,

My first post, ever, anywhere.

I've lurked in the dark hole of guestland for about a year now and finally taken the plunge and registered a few days ago.

Could I be no. 3000?  Always sure I was somehow special.

Thanks for all the informative and v. entertaining posts.

Thanks, RK,

have to admit, I'm not that Boris. He was amusing though.
Can't quite imagine him pootling around an allotment in his wellies, or shovelling horse stuff.
The doctor bloke was a larff too.
