can you just wash it, chop it and freeze it?
Hi
I cook mine as normal or make them in to crumble's then freeze,
Ps had a bit of a glut of it this year so the wife made some rhubarb cake yesterday Lovely it was and we made wine aswell just a couple of ideas for its use..
I just wash, chop and freeze mine cacran.
me too, I don't fuss with rhubarb, it freezes ok enough for crumbles just as it is XX Jeannine
If youve got a glut make some wine ;)
I think It was Tim who suggested cooking before freezing because it takes a lot less room in your freezer. We use the small plastic microwave containers from Wilkies to freeze them. when they are frozen we turn em out into bags and they stack like bricks. We do this with stews soups and curries. They hold a good sized single portion.

I do as above but I let it drain through a sieve first. The juice goes for wine and the rhubarb left is thicker.
Thanks for all your replies. :)
