Title: Swarm
Post by: Robert_Brenchley on May 22, 2010, 17:46:08
I knew it! I was on the plot the otehr day, and there was a mob of bees round an empty hive. It's become an annual event, so I knew a swarm was likely to move in. Sure enough, I was on the plot today, and there was a good-sized swarm in residence.

Bargain!!

I take it this was a hive that contained some previously used brood comb?

My oldest and nastiest comb, which was waiting to be melted. The smell is what attracts them, along with the availablility of a suitable space. I left them on some decent stuff, obviously.
