Title: Any cabbage ready ?

I just picked this, solid heart and tastes excellent !!!

And made into pickled cabbage or what i think is called Sauerkraut ?

What a lovely sight - crisp white cabbage straight out of the ground mmmmm
someone's got a steady hand with the cabbage cutting Chris :o <dead impressed>
If you have a cold cellar, you could keep heads of cabbage on a rack for a few months after cutting. Don't let that stop you pickling though ;D

aaaah. All is revealed. I didn't spot the note about pickling. Didn't know that you could pickle white cabbage. Brilliant. I'll have to have a go.

Not sure too, just thought it would taste good.

loads.... got the spring out too early and this warm wet fortnight means they have gone mental too... we haven't eaten half the summer ones yet!
