Bought a new fork in Homebase last week. Was asked if I was over 18 - they are not allowed to sell garden forks to under 18s as they could be used as dangerous weapons ?!?! (But only if you're under age ??)

I bought cigarettes and wine and they didn't ask my age, or to see my bus pass.  I was so offended, when I asked them why they didn't ask my age, they didn't get the joke.  Just found a pair of scissors in my shopping bag as I was going to go to the allotment to pick some spinach, but the pigeons got there first.  Man in local shop just showed me his £80 fine for dropping his cigarette on the street in Enfield town.  Watch out or next time he might get put in prison and get a criminal record, be cheaper to do a bit of burglary.
