Netscape Explorer - Any Good?
« on: September 08, 2004, 16:57:06 »
I am currently 'roadtesting' the Netscape browser, having had (and continue to do so) problems with IE and the AOL browser.

So far it looks good but is it  really any good?

Let me know if you use it.

Thanks

if all you want is a browser firefox  is what you need.
advantages are practical, financial and philosophical.

1) tabbed browser ( like opera)
2) relatively immune to viruses/malicious code
3) easy to control cookies & javascript
4) a variety of different skins (icons/colours etc)
5) more standards compliant  than IE
6) encourages users to get involved.

If you need a mail client and newsgroup reader the full mozilla is what you need

Thanks. I am also trying out Firefox at Dan (admin) 's suggestion.

Both look ok at the moment, though netscape keeps on asking nme to register then when i do it cant because the registration server is not responding. Thus it takes ages to load the browser.
