I have to walk round most of our site to get to my plot and I regularly have to let birds out from cages or under nets.  Usually wood pigeons.  Smart enough to get in but too stupid to get out!

We found a dead catbird in our blueberry cage once :'(  He got through the tiniest of holes!
I've decided to only use netting if I can make it completely taut.
