I need a VERY simple recipe for fruit scones for a fund raising for  our local hospital, can you help please.   Rosebud

Self raising flour, quarter the weight in butter, for sweet ones add a spoon of caster sugar - rub butter into flour then mix with milk to make softish dough.  Roll out to about 2" thick & cut with cutter or glass  & cook in hot oven for 10 mins.  That's how I do it.  :)

The milk should be "off". Open the top, to let the air in, put the top back on and leave for several days.  Full cream milk is best.
