Advertising on A4A
« on: May 28, 2007, 23:28:55 »
Can I please ask if anyone else is experiencing problems with the A4A website... when I read threads often there are words highlighted in blue and underlined. These are some sort of advertising search engines, when running the cursor over the highlighted words it's usually ask.com that pops up. If I click on 'What's this?' at the top of the ad, I get taken to a site run by MIVA, which is apparently pay-per-click advertising. Any ideas anyone? I'd love to stop this, it's annoying.

yep its marketing to help pay for the site, perfectly normal and very profitable for some sites :-)

And why might you ask am i up so late? well i went to bed and was woken by the smell of burning.

Nothing in the house, smell comming from outside but no idea where.

Just called to let the police know, going to have one last look and try and get to sleep :-)

Hubbies promised to wake me with a bacon butty before we set off to the barnsdale tomorrow.
