It is so difficult to choose as everything you grow has that fresh fantastic taste.  Love newly dug potatoes, and carrots - so sweet.  The fresh green taste of lettuces, cucumbers, peas, dwarf french beans and the earthy taste of leeks. Cabbages, brussel sprouts, onions, shallots, and I love my squash (I get very fond of them), I could just go on and on.

We are not keen on broad beans, though I love how they look when they are growing and the flowers are very pretty. Year after year I grow beetroot which never fails for me, but like Lish and her squash, boiled beetroot is a NoNo for me.  I love to eat it and it is so sweet and yummy, but oh, the griping pains and the bowelly aftereffects, I am just not going to go there, too unpleasant!! :P busy_lizzie
