Somebody did this earlier on.
I grew an Atlantic giant pumpkin last year in my garden, but it didn't do particularly well, because of the dry and then wet weather. It came out a rather bizarre conical shape.
The stem was destroyed by something too, probably my cats when they were digging after a poo.
