my wife and me would love to try some crysanths this year any one got any we could root

We have ours stooled in the Greenhouse at the moment but not taking cuttings yet, although they are really going for it!

Won't really know until say March when we want the stools out of the cold greenhouse... some will take and some will rot. If your site has a chrysant man they will often have spares. We pick them up at about 50p a time from the local lottie shop.....

Hi

You can make your own, buy your wife some and enjoy.

I tend to cut the stem above the the swelling in the stem into maybe 6-10 inch bits.

Then pop these with the swell at the top in a vase of water on a window still and they should root at the bottom.

and you would have the advantage of knowing what you are getting! Can you still get big chrysants at Florists all I ever see are sprays...
