I thought it would just show the link and not the actual photo - I'm sooo chuffed.
Off to bed as I've been faffing around with this for ages and didn't realise how late it was!

Lovely pics. With a view like that I doubt if I'd ever get anything done. Must be great to sit there on a summers afternoon with a cold drink.

Yes it is a nice place to sit (and I do quite a lot of sitting with a flask of coffee ;)).
All the bricks were already there under the brambles and weeds, but I have left them as it would be just too much work to start digging them up, but I have put in the raised beds with wooden edges after chopping down some self sown willows. This is of the brambles when I got the plot in Oct 2004
and this is of this June
When I've got disheartened I just look at the photos I took at the beginning and it keeps me going.
I'm now reclaiming the area up the hill to the left behind where I was standing when I took the photos.
Thanks for your nice comments :)

That June pic is idyllic vee, those look like proper old bricks around the edges, did you lug them all up there yourself? That brick path on the left is so picturesque! LOVE these photos, thank you!

The bricks were already there SS, I just uncovered them. I think in the past there may have been a large greenhouse further up my plot but only the outline remains. One of the people on our site said he had found enough bricks to build a house!

I forgot to say how much help and encouragement I've got from this website.
I don't think I would have done as much without coming on here and reading all the advice and enthusiasm that you have all given me. It really has kept me going.
Thank you all very much.
