Tim,

- click on the top most box in which you have data in the column that you want to total,
- highlight all the boxes below this point and to a point where you want to place your total, the boxes should all be shaded...
- then click the symbol  that appears to be a capital 'E' on the toolbar...sorry don't know the techie term for this....
- this should then give you a total at the bottom of you column...
you can do the same for rows.....hope this helps

Most kind - I'll work on it.

But first I'll have to type all the figures, & I'm not the world's best at that!

thats a lot of cucumbers. do you and your family/friends eat them all fresh or do you preserve them aswell? can you preserve cucs? i am very impressed.  i am growing three plants this year (first time) outside and am getting about one/two  every couple of days which i am pleased with. i am amazed how different they taste to the shop bought ones.

But yes, we do Delia's sweet pickle every year, which most folk love,

Have looked in Delia on Line but can find no recipe for sweet pickle. Could you share your source - or recipe - please Tim?

Thanks

Tricia

I'm about to crack open the first jar, since it's been pickling for a month now...

Just as well. Have another glut coming...

Thank you Tim. I'll have to wait until tomorrow as I used up the last of my onions making sweet courgette and apple chutney yesterday :)

Thanks to Gerry, here's the totalled-up table for Jun/Jul. Interesting the near consistency, with some wild differences?

But, try as I may, I can't get the Grand Total to print!!

Oh - & I see that the headings haven't printed. They are as before - first 4 are Flamingo (the long ones) - the others are Passandra.

Poor eyesight - thanks, Svea.

well  maybe, but the averages look much better. so, what's wrong with with no.4 flamingo, and no.3 passandra then?

Terri - so sorry :-[. I meant to post this - and forgot ::)

Courgette and Apple Chutney

A sweet chutney ideal with tasty cheese, in sandwiches, on toast or with cold meats.

1.5kg courgettes
2 tsp salt
1.5kg apples
500g onions
750g sugar
2 litres vinegar
2 tsp dry mustard
2 tsp ginger
¾ tsp ground black pepper
juice of 1 lemon

Slice the courgettes finely, place them in a bowl, sprinkle with the salt and let stand overnight.

Peel and finely chop the apples and onions. Combine with the courgettes in a large saucepan. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to the boil and cook very slowly for about 2 hours, until the mixture is thick.

Spoon into hot, clean jars and seal.

I haven't tried mine yet - letting it stand for a month or so first.
