Ok.  I admit my great passion is Manchester United.  There, it's all Lottie's fault if everyone now piles in on me.   :(

Hey redclanger , care to disclose any of your more interesting music, I am one who is interested anyway ...
Going through my 'popular music' collection in no particular order:

13th Floor Elevators
Alice Donut
Banco de Gaia
Bongwater
Butthole Surfers
Comus (excellent psych folk from late sixties early seventies) *
Curved Air
Donovan *
Dr Strangely Strange *
Eat Static
Fairport Convention
Forest (psych folk band behind their time) *
Fresh Maggots
Gorky's Zygotic Mynci *
Grateful Dead
Happy Mondays
Hawkwind
Inspiral Carpets
Jefferson Airplane
Ke Passa
Mighty Baby
Nick Drake *
Ozric Tentacles
Pavement
REM
Robyn Hitchcock
Stone Roses
The Beach Boys
The Beta Band
The Chocolate Watch Band
The Electric Prunes
The Future Sound of London
The Great Society
The Jesus and Mary Chain
The Levellers
The Lone Pigeon (Gordon Anderson who founded and then left the Beta Band)
The Orb
The Pogues
The Soft Machine
The Specials
The Stranglers
The Waterboys
XTC

I have marked the ones with accoustic bents with an asterix.

I find this site - http://www.allmusic.com/ quite useful - pretty comprehensive.  I like the similar artist bit and I have to admit to using P2P to find samples of stuff I do not know.

Oh Lorna, I do.  I've been a dedicated follower since the mid 60s.  Others know where they were when Kennedy was shot etc, I know where I was the day we got relegated.   ::)  :'(

My daughter gave me a fab pic of Ruud recently but sadly I can't post it here.  ;)

This thread reminds me, I've still got all  the Archery kit and my tanks and scuba gear. I'll have to dig them out next year. ;)

I have only done archery once or twice - really anjoyed it and found I could hit the target.  It is something I really want to develop through my involvement with Scouts.

Yes Eva Cassidy took a little while to grow on me, but I adore her voice and style. There are many female vocalists in my list, that is a prominent feature in my appreciation of music ...

I copied my list of an Access database Redclanger, sadly it is not up to date.

For instance there is no Steve Hackett (Genesis).

Plus

Apoptygma Beserk
Beautiful South
Blondie
Maroon 5
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Savage Garden
Pavement (thanks Red ...)
Melanie (thanks jennym)
Stereophonics

Leonard Cohen (thank you Oz ...)

Okay can I start a straw poll here?  Do you arrange your albums alphabetically and if so, would you file The Beatles under 'B' or 'T'?  Personally, I ignore the 'The' everytime.
