A warning .
« on: August 31, 2005, 16:11:31 »
watch out!
VERY IMPORTANT WARNING
> This is not a joke!
>
> Please Be Extremely Careful especially if using internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning direct from both Microsoft and Norton.
>
> Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet.
>
> You may receive an apparently harmless email with a Power Point presentation "Life is beautiful."
>
> If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, and delete it immediately. If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying: "It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful." Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.
>
> This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus software's are not capable of destroying it. The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself "life owner."
>
> PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS EMAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS and ask them to PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY.

This was posted on another site I go on...so thought I'd pass it on to everyone here.

They now say ...some of them... that its a hoax, so I'll leave you to make your own minds up. I never open emails from unknown sorces anyway.

I have seen these before, I would not open anything unless I knew what it was, but in this case I think it is just scaremongering . . . There are definitely enough weirdos around in this world

Ha ha Val, then I will presume you don't class me as one of those wierdos, although my sanity is rather questionable, as evidenced by my other postings . . . and then there is that mmwah . . .  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Mac, as seen from the date, it has been roaming for a while . . .

insane? yes that is interesting, still it is not easy to think properly with me muzzle and straightjacket on  ;D ;D ;D

Changing the subject, just realised, it is Friday, party night! Hope there are enough seats in the chatroom tonight. Will be wearing my formal straightjacket tonight, freshly pressed, and my abalone inlaid muzzle ha ha ha.
