The Russians have agreed to build a rail tunnel under the Bering Straits, costing £60B.

It means in theory you could travel from Edinburgh, via London, Paris, Moscow, Yatusk, Nome, and then to either New York, or down the US east cost to San Francisco, and down through South America all the way to Valpariso entirely by train.

I quite fancy that, its a hell of journey, i guess it would take a good six weeks

The bit between Edinburgh and London would take most of the six weeks..............

Nothing is ever as it seems. With appropriate equations I can prove this.

I suppose the advantage of tunnels is you don't get leaves on the line. Amazing photo.
