Small expansion of empire
« on: February 04, 2011, 22:11:00 »
I've been given half a small plot, next to mine. Celebration!  ;D I'm really quite excited.

The plot next door is/was a very thin strip about 1.5 metres wide I should think, which hasn't been cultivated and somehow there was a mix up and it's going spare. I'm getting half of it, and it's only 2 rods, but better than a poke in the beak with a sharp stick!
 :)

She says with her maoist stars on!  ;D

I'm very happy, just got back from the newly expanded plot. There were 3 winter radish on there, hidden among tha grass, and some oriental greens, so I weeded round them and pulled up the radish. I've eaten all mine and was really missing my radish snacks of an evening.

The soil at the front of the new plot is deep and crumbly - someone once obviously worked hard on it. It will be my root bed this year.

So I'm very very pleased!  :) :)
