Hi all again and excuse the pun!!!  friends of mine are selling  Black Rock hens ( hope i got the name right) for £1 each, ive just brought six and they have around 50 left, if anyone is interested please get in touch, they are 18 months old, and were going to be destroyed, the friends work for a big organic farm and cannot bear to destroy these birds, anyone interested,  SORRY BUT,  you must be willing to come and get the girls yourselves as they are very busy people!!! we are in the Cotswolds, Pm me if you are interested.

Bit far to travel from Teeside.

Black Rocks can lay for 5-6 years. £1 is a bargain! If anyone is commuting North who could bring some in the car boot or lorry then I would love to take some - up to 12.

I agree with KT, if you have anyone coming this far north I can accommodate up to 4.  If not then I'm off to Glencroft in 2 weeks!  ;D

Hi Gunnerbee,
I am interested and live at the foot of the cotswolds in Gloucester!
Why are they getting rid of them? Are they a child freindly breed?
We are considering getting hens next month with an eglu!
How soon do they need to go??
I will see is I can do some 'black rock' research online!
Cheers,
sue
