Next year you will have blackberries for jam from the thornless blackberry that you are going to persuade Jon to come and dig up in the autumn ;D ;D
BTW do you keep jam in fridge? I have put the jar of pineapple that you kindly gave me in the fridge.

Lorna, I do tend to keep the jams in the fridge - they last longer and in this hot weather there is less chance of them turning nasty!!! :D
