True potato seed
« on: May 14, 2011, 10:57:32 »
Who else is growing this? I had mine in one of my mini-greenhouses, but I was told it likes warmth, so I retrieved it. It was already starting to germinate - so maybe it doesn't need so much warmth after all - but three seedlings popped up overnight on the shelf under the hot water tank. They're the smallest vegetable seedlings I've ever seen, but we'll see what they turn into!

Good to know about the temperature and germination, it's all a big learning curve for me  ;D

Hi robert, I started mine off indoors, on a sunny windowsill. They germinated pretty quickly and easily, no extra heat needed. Once they were all up I put them outside in my placcy greenhouse for a week or so, and then potted them up and thay are in the garden ready to be planted out
