So How was YOUR Day?

Woke up to find gale still howling. No electricity, hence no central heating, only a thin trickle from the tap as the mains booster pumps lower down the hill weren`t working. Boiled shaving water on primus and burnt breakfast ditto.  Chain saw is electric powered, so spent morning using hand powered cross cut saw to cut a way through fallen tree on drive.  Electricity restored in time for lunch, so spent afternoon with chain saw cutting up tree fallen on vegetable plot  Going to take the rest of the week to shred all the top stuff.

Sitting at keyboard swearing at blisters which make typing a hazardous business.

Roll on bloody Monday.

Windy, but lovely.  Mum, Nan and step daughter over to stay for the weekend so full English breakfast to start the day, followed by big old tradition Sunday lunch followed by lounging around on the sofa nattering and watching the box until it was time for Ava to take the oldies home.  ;D
