If your allotment is so bad why not section it off and tackle one part at a time? thats what I did when I first got mine and it seemed to help.

I'm a few miles west-ish of Bradford for what it's worth. Oxenhope.

Hi Scot and Wilco, guess what I'm in Donnie too, bit obvious really with my sign on!!! at the Barnby dun site. Had my plot since Aug. major mess nettles and brambles. Just me a new lady who got the plot just to the side of me but at the front. We have gone dutch on the hire of a nice farmer and his JCB and obliterated all brambles and nettles on her plot and the vacant plot behind her (next to mine). We are going to share this plot. Easy peasy now its cleared. Just a matter of digging and lifting any missed roots.

Its worth asking around, cost £18 per hour, 2 plots cleared in 2 hours!!!! well worth its money

Hi Fellow Northern Folk, I'm a newbie in Immingham, near Grimsby. Only had my patch since September but looking forward to next year and getting some plants in.
