Morticians?
« on: May 25, 2005, 12:27:47 »
I found this quote on the BBC Wales website about Chelsea Flower Show from expert Vegetable Grower Medwyn Williams (Gold Medallist):

"The thing people must realise about vegetables once you harvest, they are effectively dead - I am effectively now a mortician looking after dead bodies on the display."

Urgh, I don't like that quote at all! I have been craving my veg all day and looking forward to going home for my dinner, but now I'm feeling quite put off.......  :-\  :P

So some vegetarians are so because they don't like to see cruelty to the animals, which I respect.....but I wonder if there are any complete carnivores out there who won't eat veg because of the pain felt by each pea as it is plucked or carrot as it is pulled!  ;D ;) ;) ;) ;) ;D
