White Powder on Sprouting Brocolli
« on: May 23, 2005, 12:50:37 »
I have some white sprouting brocolli that was rather tardy in sprouting this year....

When I checked it the other day, the 'sprouting bits' were covered in a grey/white powder.  some had curled up. I've ripped them out of the ground...

What was the white stuff?  Do i need to do anything else?

Sounds like powdery mildew, fungal infection.  Spray nearby plants to avoid cross contamination? Shame.  :'( :'( Lottie

Sounds a bit like white blister, also known as white rust. You must burn the leaves and not put them on the compost and not grow brassicas on that spot next year.
