Peppers
« on: May 16, 2005, 10:18:46 »
I'm growing peppers for the first time this year. They're on the living room windowsill (and I've got some in the office too!)

The first flowers are just opening - am I right in assuming that I need to get my paintbrush out & fertilise by hand? I've given them a very weak feed with tomato feed.

I do wish the weather would warm up & let me get things outside.

So I guess the chillis that are covered in fruits in my conservatory have either been bothered by the kids brushing past, or the occassional bug that has buzzed in has done the jobet for me!  ;D

I grew Habanero chillis last year and hand pollinated them very successfully with a make up brush when the bugs failed to perform.  This year I've decided to grow 3 different sorts.  Do I need to use 3 separate brushes or will one do for all?

Jill,

One brush will do if you do not want to save the seeds otherwise it's 3
