Topic: Chilli plants

Hello, i repotted 5 chilliplants over the weekend into 6" pots. Noticed this morning some of the leaves have gone whiteish and a bit like paper. Any ideas.

Does the soil have adequate moisture in it?    I've noticed with my chillis that they do not like their soil being dry for any amount of time.

With me potting them on i had gave them a good drink in the smaller pots, then watered again in the big pots. I'm going to post a photo shortly. I'll be gutted if they are buggered they are the only chillis i have managed to germinate and upto repotting them they were beutys.

My aubs have gone a bit like that.

If that's the case, you need to increase the humidity. Spray them with water.

Have you got them inside or out?  That looks like the foliage on my wind burnt runner beans.  I found, once they are that sort of size, they are as tough as old boots and shake of the pests 'reasonably' well.

Scorched maybe, or wind burn.  Curious.  Don't over water them.  I find chillis seem to do better when the compost is allowed to dry out.

I have had the same problem with my dwarf french beans think it must be wind burn in doorway of greenhouse. No sign of spider mite and always been well watered.

Hmm. It was quite windy on sunday the day i potted them on. It seems to have effected the large lower leaves worst but the new growth looks ok, which makes me think it could be wind. I think i'm going to chop the damaged ones off. Thanks.

When I repot stuff I always put it somewhere sheltered to recover.  I have always grown my chillis outside and I think they do best, more fruits and less pests

Yourn don't look bad at all and I bet they'll be fine  :)
