Better I think YR! But then I was a newbie to the beeb site too! Find this one more interesting and faster responses, perhaps cos it's open all hours!!??

Hi YR,
The answer to your question is no, nothing like the beeb board.
Its open all hours,
wider range of topics,
you can post photos, email address,
personal email service
you dont get your hand smacked or excomuicated,
admin is so very helpfull and has a sence of humor.
there is no back biting here
a lovely friendly group of gardeners who have welcomed us exbeebs with open arms.
I still go back to the other board but perfer this one like many others.

hmmm!! :(
Wanted to add some words under your thread on the Beeb Board, Rose, but guess what? Yesterday evening the Board had closed and today (see timing of my post), cannot reply because the 'reply' button is missing. Which, in the Beeb context, leaves me with only the option of 'complain about this post'...
I have no complaints about your Beeb post, actually :), but isn't my experience proving a point??
I like it here, and thanks Oz, again, for finding 4all for us.
Cheers, Lishka

I love the Beeb boards, and the layout (seeing the beginning of a message, not just a title), BUT, their technology is outdated and so painfully slow, and the opening times (I work full time) are not convenient.
Also, the mods!! I see there is a new one there - whatever happened to our lady of the camellias?
Hopefully they will get their act together....

Hi,
I'm a new girl - never been to the Beeb Board either, and I think it's great to talk to like minded compulsive growers :P I am considered quite mad in our household and the subject of my lottie is often banned - I am so misunderstood ! ! :-[

Ahhhh, "compulsive growers"!!! It took me 'x' years to realize that, if I could 'grow' a dandelion, then I could grow something I'd prefer to eat more, in the same space...
Yep! I've got my Veggie Patch, but then I've got my flower/shrub areas...and what more stately and attractive and (if your luck's in), fruiting than aubergine plants....or 'grasses' of chives...or carpets of golden marjoram??
I LIKE MY GARDEN! And like, also, the fact that I'm never far away from a source of food when I'm in it - Lishka

Nobody mentioned how very "clicky" the Beeb boards are. Some very strange people on I came over here as a blazing row was undeway over some one being called raceist because they had made a joke about Scotland. How stupid can you get I just couldn't believe some of the statments made on there.
