Parsnips
« on: April 26, 2005, 10:12:00 »
Hi, new to growing veg and I sowed some parsnips about a month ago. I think they are emerging now, but I'm not sure how to differentiate between parsnip seedlings and all the weeds emerging at the same time. Can anyone please help by posting a pic of what to look for?

Hi there!

If you had sown your seed in a row then look for a nice neat row of seedlings. Then you will be able to differentiate from the parsnip seedling and the weed seedling. There will be more parsnips that weeds in that row.

Hope that helps.

Thanks very much. Took a printout and just been and checked. It's taken a while, but I think I've got my eye in now.
This site is obviously going to be a great educational tool for me and it seems very friendly too.
