Bowing out
« on: January 07, 2004, 22:08:42 »
Hi all,  :D

Have got terminal cancer of the stomach.   So will only be able to post when feeeling strong enough.

Great board, great peeps, love your allotment, but please get away from the old style of  *they owe us a living*.  And,the old refrain, *the corpie will look after us*.  They won't.

The allotments are in your hands, fight for them.

*rant over*

Merv, bloody hell!  I am at a loss and don't know what to say.  Our thoughts and wishes are with you Merv.

You rant all you like, we all do from time to time, altho I am useless and end up ranting about something completely different!

Thinking of you Chairman.

Merv, what can I say that hasn't been said by all the others, except I will be thinking of you.

I have a friend who has been fighting cancer for the past couple of years and she is very positive  and her garden has been a great source of help to her.

Keep thinking positive Merv and you never know, miracles could happen :) :)

God bless

Hi Merv

Some hospices are good the one dad in law went in they could take their pets saw a dog and budgies and cats you might be able to take comp? keep in touch with us if only for the cyber hugs you will get loads of them.
Do you have a choice or just one localy?
Hows your family coping?  ours went just like dad total denial thought he would come out fine then went to pieces afterwards, they said there was so much they wanted to say and never did total regret.
On a lighter note sister in law did a parachute jump to raise money for hospice made loads of money her way of saying thanks to all. It frightened her so much she said never again.
Good luck for tomorrow thinking of you let us know how you got on cyber hugs
