Beware the evil Frog!
« on: March 19, 2005, 13:17:01 »
Had to rescue one of my poor goldfish from the clutches of an over amorous frog yesterday, had OH not seen it, the poor thing would probably have drowned :'( Fish not frog!  Have heard of this happening in other peoples ponds, but never seen it myself. The frog was pulled off and thown back into the pond with a cry from me of "go find someone your own species"! Bet the fish had a fright! :o

DP,  We used to have a hen and a rabbit and when it was a nice day we used take the hen from his run in the back garden and put him in our large front garden to roam free.  We also did the same with the rabbit who was in a cage at the side of our house.  We were astounded one day when the rabbit jumped onto the hens back and tried it on with the hen.  We had great difficulty getting him off the poor hen who got pinned down.  Poor hen was baffled by the whole experience. After that they were never let out together.

Thought that was bad enough but a frog and fish?  What is the world coming too.? Drought , pestilence  and a plague of locusts to follow do you think?  :D busy_lizzie

Anthony resists the urge to make a joke about most hen nights ending up with the hen "going like a rabbit"!! ;D

I am not going to have any fish so hopefully should avoid any such incidents.  Hopefully it will just be frogs having fun with other frogs.

Al, they have all done the deed and left the pond! (Hopefully out dining on slugs!) The fish looks fine on it's cross species experience, I think we were just lucky we saw it!
Red, no probs for you in this department then! ;D
