Topic: Winter flowering jasmin

Last year, we purchased 2 of these and planted them separately against the fence in order for it (the fence) to be smothered ...

One of them has grown well and produced some pretty flowers all through winter although has not grown in volume.  The other one unfortunately did not perform.  So I am going to dig it up and try and plant it next to the other one.  This will be its last chance ... >:(

I was just wondering if the plant that hasn't flowered had self rooted at all.  It's just that some years ago I had a summer jasmin which never ever flowered.  But I gave a self rooted section to a friend and it flowered the next summer.  I know it doesn't make any sense and maybe it just didn't like where I had it but just thought it was worth a mention.

Hi Merlins Mum,

It's strange that this has come up. 

I was in the garden yesterday to investigate the plant again and discovered that some of the "shoots" had self rooted - I have pulled them out and discovered that the shoots themselves are now covered in little leaves.  So I reckon it must have heard my threat and decided to perform !   ;D :D
