Which Houseplant?
« on: April 10, 2014, 19:20:32 »
I bought a gorgeous old fashioned bird cage from a car boot the other day. I bought it to grow a house plant in. I can't decide which plant to get. Any ideas??

Well I hope it is a big cage for an asparagus fern. Something simple like a small prayer plant in the middle then a few hanging variegated philodendrons around the edge and hang the cage high.

What about a plain old spider plant, hang it high as Ace says, all the 'babies' can dangle through the bars....remember those macrame hangers we all had in the 1970's?

I think spider plants have gone out of fashion, there was a time when every office had one.  You could fill your house for a few pounds on ebay.
