I've fancied some of these for a long time but they seemed a bit pricey for what is essentially a bit of fluff.

99p store sell packet of 50 strong plastic markers, including pencil. They are nice and long too.

Ohhh....must get some of those..
I have used all the bits of timber that I have spare..split them and had loads of extra large 'labels'. White plastic ones are ok in GH...but our resident foxes think the white ones are bit too 'showy' and pull them out ..so far the wooden ones haven't raised any interest with them. Wilko's bamboo labels are about £1 for just 10!

Was at Meadowhall under sufferance and saw a Poundland. ...and remembered your post....I now have 78 nice big plant markers for £2, well pleased! Thanks for the brilliant idea!

I was also inspired enough to brave the dreaded Poundland to buy those fab bamboo 'labels'. I agree that the birds don't seem to 'play' with them as much as they do with the white plastic ones. Result!
