Seed ID
« on: May 07, 2013, 20:22:38 »
I had winter festival squash and pumpkin "Hooligan" chitting together and although they started off carefully labelled I managed to mix them up! One seed is definitely a bit bigger than the other. Does anyone happen to know which is which? The fruits look similar too so "wait and see" may not help!

not going to help much I'm afraid but after mixing up my brassica seedlings I put a coloured plastic bead in each pot for my squash seeds and the same colour in the packet.

I think the winter festival seeds are bigger than the hooligan.

I'll have a look through my seeds to see if I have any.

OK, I have found some. Not a big difference in size but the winter festival is the bigger.

Thanks, Chrispy. Now I just have to remember whether it was the bigger or smaller ones that germinated!  :happy7:
