having his dangly bits off
« on: May 01, 2013, 06:14:50 »
Morning all,

Feeling a little sad this morning.

Have to take Ivor ( Labrador pup) to the vets at 9:00am to be castrated. :sad10: :sad10:
I get very emotional when I have to pick him up from the vets, because I know he's going to
be droopy eyed & sad looking.

I'm going to have a confused pup on my hands for the next few days, wondering where his
dangly bits have gone...lol

Oh well, I'll go take him for a walk before the dreaded deed has to be done.

Gertie.

He'll soon get over it, so do not worry :happy7:
Definitely the right thing to do.

We adopted a 2 to 3 yr old labrador a year ago and had him castrated.   He was a very timorous beats when we got him as he'd been confined indoors all his life except for a tiny courtyard but with us he has a large garden to romp in with our other dog and gets good country walks so lots to do and explore.  He wasn't a dominant dog when we got him and then there were so many new things everyday I don't think he noticed they'd gone.

He's now a big, strong, happy, playful, loving, soppy lump who's very funny and a great companion.  I'm sure your pup will do just as well.

Well Ivor's back home now. He's obviously slow walking but he's in good spirits.
He doesn't like the look of the Elizabethan collar...lol Think I'll just lie on the settee
tonight & keep one eye open just in case he licks his wound.
It's going to be a long night.

Gertie.
