Heck I think I have fallen for it
« on: April 30, 2013, 18:37:17 »
Received an email today from allotments chairman.  Without thinking I followed the link to some daft advert or something but nothing to do about our allotments.  What shall I do now?  Hellllp.

Sounds like he has the virus and it's sending out e-mails to get the hits on a site up. Do you have anti virus/phishing software installed? You'll probably be fine as long as you didn't type in any passwords or anything but it's worth doing a scan. If you don't have any then try AVG's free version.

Oooh scary,I've been getting emails from banks, mobile companies and even some people I know 'tho don't share emails ?
My local freecycle has been targetted with spam.
I just delete and never click links, but when you get something from what you believe is a known source it's so easy to "click" automatically.
sanity is overated
