« on: March 08, 2005, 18:24:21 »
I need help.I have a lot of seeds and once and a while i go through them, just to see what i really got.Now the story starts.I have found seeds from an indian cucumber called poona kheera,i have googled, but a good sowing advice.I goodnot find one,can you grow it outside or does it need a greenhouse. The same i have asked myself about a melon called oriental serpent,is this a true melon it looked more like a large cucumber.Than i have got a lot of melonseeds which have the following names;minesoto midget, golden gopher, piel de sapo, crenshaw, casaba, claus, canary, orange flesh, irquois cantaloupe, charentais and zatta.Which one is early enough to produces ripe fruits,i put them under glass,so please send me some information.

Hmm oriental serpent could be metki as that's really a melon but looks like a cucumber. If so then it's not very hardy. Any melons are growable in similar conditions to indoor cucumbers i.e they need min 70F constantly for best growing conditions.
