Fuchia cuttings
« on: March 22, 2013, 17:50:42 »
Few days ago I gave my over wintering standard fuchsias proper 'hair cut'. Being indoors and in warmth+ with more day light, they've started to put growth on that needed to come off.
I did quite a bit of cuttings from the branch tips..but there was sooo much greenery to throw away..I just couldn't do it so I just dunked lot of the best longer bits into vase and place them amongst their 'mums'.
I thought that they can then just be left and they root 'as and when' or..'if'.
Looks like its not only me that is 'itching' to get growing season started....its day 4 since the 'bits' was put into vase and already I can see few roots poking out them :icon_cheers: WHERE in earth I'm going to put them when they need potting!!! :BangHead:
They rooted TOO SOON!
The tips that I placed into Jiffy's haven't rooted yet..water 'method' won! I'm sure it was taught in college that tips and tender parts have the most the of the growing hormones in them so they root quickest and easiest....or is the moon in right phase now for rooting :icon_scratch:
