Branston pickle recipe

I've found Qahtan's 2010 recipe:

but I wondered a) how did this one mature? and b) anyone had a go since at replicating the real thing?

Been Googling a bit and various home-made recipes abound. But the authenticity seems to work around the spices and flavouring of the dates - although I have seen versions using tamarind and Worcestershire sauce.

Any tried and tested versions out there?
