What a great idea, pots in the dishwasher. I have loads of used paper pots, will try it tonight and let you know how I get on.

Would they prefer sand at the seaside to be buried in?

Aw!....Terrible idea. It didn't work! My dishwasher has stopped working, the pipes are blocked and my pots have diskapeered! What a daft idea. Who came up with this one....!

Especially if they're buried, but don't give them too much fertiliser,  they have a tendancy to seed themselves about Roy and they are hard to get rid of....Its the teenage version you have to worry about..I've tried everything I think they've taken the spray off the market.

No no no, you must NEVER feed them! I made the mistake of doing that and my offshoot is now 6' 5"... and definitely a well-rooted cutting...

Hope you didn't add a diluted liquid gold fertiliser to them! Apparently, "One old Pennsylvania Dutch belief was that washing the face of a child with his or her own urine made the child good looking." - judging by some of the pictures here, there are a lot of good looking gardeners!!!  ;D  :o

Well I didn't think I was that ugly, but I'll go to the watershed if you want.
