Parasene Thermostat
« on: February 04, 2013, 15:14:28 »
Can anyone tell me how to wire up the thermostat, I have a parasene soil warming cable and have had a Parasene thermostat bought for Christmas, the instructions are terrible, unclear.    I have called Parasene and asked for their advice but got nothing from them so far.
Thanks for reading this.

As you haven't given any information it is hard to comment, but, a thermostat is just an automatic switch that probably has a probe of some sort to pick up the temp of the soil, the thermostat if it has two connections should be in the live side of the supply to the element, if it has four connections then probably both the live and neutral will go through it.

Hope this is a little bit of help to you

Hi,

Just a thought.  If you are unsure how to wire it up, maybe you should be getting someone electrically minded to be doing it for you given the environment it will be used in i.e. soil, damp etc.

Regards
