A sad site at the lottie today
« on: January 08, 2013, 19:53:36 »
I went to the site today after hearing a bit of second hand rumours, a sad sight met me with burnt down sheds and others clearing their tools and taking them home before they suffer the same fate.
The shop had been broken into and another outbuilding had been set alight.
I put some of my tools in my car and took them home.
Not a good day on the lottie.   :BangHead:

That is just so totally out of order. I just wish the *fatherless children* would spill some of their accelerant over themselves and do us all a favour

So sad when one or two bad apples ruin it for everyone. Very sorry for everyone's loss.

Sorry this has happened - feeling very angry about this.  How can they do this and who is doing this?  Hope the law catches up with whoever.

Oh! This is just so sad !   Why did no one call the fire-brigade and the police ? Some one MUST have seen the flames and what was going on here ?
Trespassers will be composted !

Sad but common. Last year 10 sheds were burnt to the ground, we think by the quad/trail bike riders that ride around the prairie next to teh gardens making our lives a misery, they got dobbed into the cops and cautioned (it's a public park and no vehicles allowed). So we think it was revenge.
Council put up new sheds eventually and insurance paid for new tools but it's a sad thing all round. Sorry to hear you have had the same trouble kev.

I feel sooooo sorry for you all.  Our site regularly has break ins, chooks released and broken into, drug taking etc.  Just make sure you report every incident to the police.

Like you said, Its not nice but we would  prefer it if veg was taken to eat rather than all the senseless damage.

Really feel for you and fellow plotholders. These people are cowards and deserve all they get. Let's hope the police mange to catch them before they cause any more upset. Something like this takes the joy out of an allotment. Chins up to you all. Jeanbean

Sorry to hear about this, Kev, Does'nt seem like ordinary vandalism, criminal damage, more like it. Hope they catch them, they should make them put it all right
