maybe a silly question but........
« on: January 07, 2013, 14:29:39 »
I have just taken over a kitchen garden/allotment it is on its own. With no allotments in my area except for a private one that charges £5/sq m which I just cannot afford,I was just wondering if I could join the allotment society. many thanks

Are you sure there are no plots locally they are hidden in many places.
Contact your local council and request their list of allotment sites.
If there are none look for neglected gardens try to find some one to loan you there garden or rent it.Older people may be grateful. Failing that try container gardening even in a dlat you can grow something.

Ixion there are definitely no council sites around here we did try to get one set up  three years ago but with no luck the council just recommend a private one which I cannot afford as I am a carer for my wife I only found the one that I have got as it was advertised on f/book thanks jeanbean
