 :o :o :o

Presumably you have a collection of plastic bottle cloches and a back up packet of seeds.

Still, nothing ventured nothing gained, who dares wins, etc.

I have a very large collection of bottles.  They have come off the broad beans and gone onto the sweet corn.  They last for years.

I have 12 sweetcorn seedlings that are doing very well inside - going to move them to a plastic greenhouse thingy to harden off this week.

I was wondering do sweetcorn plants need to be staked as when I potted them up a couple of weeks ago one got broken by a gust of wind. So my ponderment is should I stake them - or are mine not doing as well as I think if they are fragile?

Sorry for hijacking the thread?

Cheers

Mines are in the packet and will remain there for at least another couple of weeks!

Mine only came out because an excited 10 year old couldn't wait. I will plant some more if they die - but hey nothing ventured and all that  :D

I've got some Swift just showing ,they're due to go in a polytunnel though, maincrops will prolly go into propagators this weekend.... need to wean the tomatoes off their heated monster propagator though... build a frame in it so I can double-deck at night I think...
