Great looking pond! See you had the same idea as me with the slates - nice finishing touch eh?  :D Makes all the difference to a garden doesn't it? Cheers Eileen.

I thank you all. One, for your help and encouragment with the 'posting' and two for all your kind words.  Garden was a blank canvas when we moved in, in  June 2002.  The 'bandstand'  (yes we call it that as well) was all my husbands design and hard work, well me and youngest stained it. We had a bit of trouble with the ends that stick out at the top. They didnt look right.  Tried loads of designs in the end hubby happened to spot the end of an old fashioned tin opener you know the end that opens bottles.  Well what a fitting design for 'our lot' so look carefully and you will see.  We christened 'Woodhenge' at youngest's birthday party before the departure to New Zealand.   Wonderfull night and before anyone asks no we didnt have a brass band ;) ;)Have 2 honeysuckles one wisteria and two climbing roses, both highly scented all training to grow up, over and around.
