My Blueberry bushes are missing
« on: March 13, 2012, 19:28:44 »
On sunday I planted 3 blueberry bushes in tubs filled with ericaceous compost.  The tubs were buried in the ground on the allotment.

I went to the allotment this evening and the bushes have gone!!  The tubs and the compost are still there, relatively undisturbed.  Before I go ranting to the committee about a lack of security on the site and that some toe wrag has stolen them does anybody think that it is possible that an animal could have removed them?  The plants were little more than twigs really but it's annoying to have lost them.

Anybody got any thoughts?

:-\...suppose it is possible that some nosey fox could have pulled up your 'twigs'.. :-\..but then you would see the rootballs lying around somewhere nearby.. :-\

If an animal pulled them out, they'd be lying nearby. This sounds like a thieving neighbour; it's not the sort of thing you visit a site to nick.

No it will be thieves!!

We have had the same problem on my site.  Not with plants, but compost, manure and a few old tools.  I will have to report it at the weekend.  I suggest you do the same.  Otherwise your stuff will continue to go missing  :-[ :-[

Grrr
Oh for goodness sake how irritating.  Why dont people just go and get their own chuffing bushes. It costs more in petrol for them to go round looking that going and buying their own.
Tempted to plant them with shredded glass round the root ball!!
Gosh I am in an intolerant mood tonight.!
