compost and cover
« on: March 12, 2012, 16:57:09 »
composting with horse manure (just laid on top of soil) and covering it all over with thick black plastic membrane, i was told the worms will do the rest, like almost dig it in and over, taking the hard work out of it, is this true? the muck is semi rotted already, and not "green"

That's how we do it, apart from we cover with thick cardboard over winter then weed control. We've just uncovered it, the cardboard has nearly disappeared and there are worms everywhere, just needs a rake then ready for use  ;D
