I've got chilli OCD
« on: March 08, 2012, 15:41:25 »
So far, I've potted on

14  Hot Patio Sizzle
6    Peter Pepper
8    Jalapeno
10  Pretty in Purple
6    Basket of Fire
8    Naga Morich
21  Little Elf
2    unknown Pakistani
8    Filus Blue

and I still have pots of

Filus Blue, Tri Colour Varigated, Mem Jolokia and Hot Patio Sizzle to do.

I know it seems is quite a lot but I'm hoping some of them will be ready for the Plant Sale in May.

Thank goodness I'm not alone, in fact you seem to be worse than me!

What varieties are you growing?

How many do you keep for yourself?

I do have four greenhouses so I should be ok for space!  We will also have the big lottery-grant greenhouse if I need more room.

I'll probably keep about three of each and try to sell the rest.

Mike, you have the most severe form of chilli OCD that I have ever come across.  I feel almost normal now.

Are you keeping all the plants yourself?

I think the beauty with chillis is they are so versatile! I freeze/dry/powder them or pickle them.
Making sauces is high on my agenda this year to sell to friends etc (to fund my habit ;)).
Love eating them as well obviously! Also a firm believer that they are good for you! My partner and I don't get colds anymore for a start!.
Love supplying mates with pods and opening their eyes to different types that they wouldn't find in the supermarkets as well.
Last but not least they are such beautiful plants to look at especially when all the pods are changing colour

Not quite time to send the men in white coats but I'm not far off  ;D
